Sports Premium

The Sports and PE Premium for schools started in 2013. Schools receive an allocation based on pupil numbers. Our annual allocation for Wolfson Hillel is £19,500.

In 2022-23 – we allocated this funding to

  1. increase the skills of teachers and support staff by working alongside a PE specialist teacher and providing cover for them to attend sports training courses.
  2. staffing a range of lunchtime and after-school sporting clubs
  3. increase the sporting clubs on offer during enrichment and after school to include; gymnastics, dance, multi-sports, tennis, hockey, football, cricket, rugby, rounders and music and movement.
  4. purchase playground gym equipment
  5. run a newly designed sports day, with an element of competition, on a field
  6. employ a PE lead to drive sports forward in the school
  7. employ multiple coaches at lunchtime to train pupils and lead their play
  8. taking part in the Maccabi Jewish Inter School Programme, which charges for each tournament. This fund has meant we do not need to pass this cost on to pupils.
  9. Buy into the Enfield sports programme and tournaments
  10. Invest in a new PE scheme (Get set 4 PE) and train staff

In 2023-2024- we are allocating this funding to:

  1. Continuing our partnership with Enfield PE
  2. Continuing the use of GetSet4PE- to help with assessment and improving PE teaching
  3. Upgrading playtime, PE lessons and enrichment equipment
  4. Appointing ELMS coaches to deliver a vibrant and exciting programme
  5. Updating our sports kits
