The school gates open early at 8:05 am and children can come straight into the classroom for a soft start. The school day starts and registers are taken at 8:20 am. Children arriving after this time should go to the school office where they will be registered as present. Classes close at 2.30 pm and enrichment runs from 2:30-3:30 pm. Pupils are in school for 32.5 hours per week.
Nursery has a soft start from 7:45 to 8:30 am. This means that parents can drop their child any time during this slot. Our morning carpet session will begin at 8.50 am. Morning nursery runs until 11:30 am. For children who stay for lunch and afternoon nursery, the nursery finishes at 2:25 pm or 3:25 pm if they stay for enrichment.
Attendance and Punctuality
Children are expected to attend on every school day, unless they are unwell or need to attend a medical or other important appointment. Parents must inform the school in writing in advance where possible or, in the case of illness, please call the school and choose Option 2 to report this on the first day away.
In other cases, parents are asked to write to the Headteacher requesting permission for children to be absent from school. The Headteacher will authorise this absence if it meets agreed criteria. Absence taken without permission will be treated as unauthorised.
During the winter months, we have shortened Fridays to allow for Shabbat times. These dates are published on our term date calendar.
Children can be on the school premises from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm.
We offer a breakfast club, as does the private nursery on our site.
There is an after-school club that runs from 3:30pm–6:00pm. This club is separately Ofsted registered and has limited spaces so you will need to sign up ahead of time.
In addition there are various privately run after-school activities that run after 3:30pm including cookery, art, multi-sports and drama.
